In this LLC, students will learn how images engage questions about gender, with an emphasis on women, queer and trans creators. Students will create work in a variety of mediums, with a focus on digital, analog, and experimental photo-based techniques. In particular, students will explore the concept of visual storytelling, thinking about images as a means of communication and expression. What do we look like? How do we see ourselves? How do we develop authentic images that express ourselves and our communities? How do we create or challenge representation through images?
