INFO:
Faust was created in 2006 by immersive theatre company Punchdrunk in collaboration with the National Theatre. Inspired by themes and characters from Goethe’s epic 18th-century morality tale Faust and Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus, the piece, lasting 3 hours, was staged in a vast abandoned warehouse in Wapping Lane, near Tower Bridge, London, and ran for six months. This film was shot over ten performances towards the end of the run, using hidden and discreet cameras in order to avoid interfering with the experience of the audience, who were free to roam the installed world of the show and encounter the performers at will.
