Dorset Wildlife Trust manages 100 hectares of land on the northern side of Brownsea Island in partnership with the National Trust. The brand new Lookout wildlife observatory and two bird hides give fabulous views of the birds on the lagoon and surrounding reedbeds, wetlands and woods are home to a wealth of flora and fauna. Located in the heart of Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island forms part of the Purbeck National Nature Reserve and is an internationally important area for wildlife.
